John Scott Smith
PresidentJohn likes to call himself an "aging teen idol," has a penchant for speak in the third person, and constantly refines the lead development and lead nurturing systems here at MyFHA.
In addition to determining the direction of MyFHA, he has invested in real estate at the University of Illinois (Go, Illini!) and North-Central Illinois, managed real estate, sold mortgages, and even worked a stint a counselor right out of college.
John is a happily married father of two small boys, and even an amateur bread-baker.
Professionally, lead enhancement, especially Web 2.0, have been his main passions as well as his focus since early 2009.
Mike Nelson
Chief Web DesignerMike and John have been working together since the earliest days back at John Smith Property Management. In 1998, Mike built that business's first web page. In addition to JSPM, and MyFHA revisions, Mike designed the website for the Illinois Rental Property Owners Association (IRPOA) while John served as president of that group. Beautiful, interactive, and informative, that site kept IRPOA members in the know on all lobbying activities and the state of ALL new legislation introduced in the House and Senate of the State of Illinois.
Mike is a tireless professional who is constantly pushing us to great design and innovation. His work has been invaluable to our growth.
Kevin Cernekee
Head of Database IntegrationKevin built our PHP programming and integration from scratch. He has been instrumental in adding filters, implementing auto-responders to leads (before it was fashionable to do so) and setting up integration with Leadmailbox, Leads360, and Kaleidico for our customers' convenience.
When John was president of IRPOA, Kevin designed for them an automated search program that would log onto the Illinois State Government's page ever night and search for every single piece of newly introduced legislation. That program would then grade that legislation for relevance to our industry, and send us a morning email summary to review over coffee. With the implementation of Kevin's programming, IRPOA was able to get the word out to our members even before the Illinois Association of Realtors (who had an INFINITELY larger budget!).
Kevin has been a powerful asset to this team, and we're thrilled to have him on board.
